Beginner to Tournament (Players 9-18)

Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested weekly and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing lacrosse in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.

Program for Tournament League Players (11-18 years old)

Our intensified program for aspiring Tournament Players is ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or pre-high school teams or other outside leagues. Offense Defense NIKE Lacrosse Camp organizes matches on a regular basis.

Boys Lacrosse

Head Pro:   Mark Notz

Our Boys Head Pro, Mark Notz has been coaching lacrosse for close to 20 years!  Mark started at the St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco, California.  He was responsible for supporting the head coach by implementing practice & game plans with specific focus on the defense.  During his stay at St. Ignatius, the Boys Lacrosse Team had the following accomplishments: They made it to the California State Championship and to the 1993 California State quarter-final game. During his tenure they had 22 wins and 5 losses!  From 1993-2001 Mark was the Head Coach of University of California Davis Men’s Lacrosse with 54 wins and 30 loses during his tenure and from 2001-2005 he was the Assistant Coach of Wheaton College Men’s Lacrosse.  From 2006 to present Mark has been the Coordinator and Coach of the Mansfield Youth Lacrosse Program where he was responsible as the liaison between the Massachusetts Bay Youth Lacrosse League and the Mansfield Youth Lacrosse program, which is a member of that league.  He is the contact person for questions and concerns of parents of the program and he plans and manages practices and games for two of the youth teams in the program.

Girls Lacrosse

Leading instruction for the girl's camp is Amanda Cahoon, the Head Coach at Cumberland High School. In her first season she guided her team to a State Championship Title with an impressive 17-1 record. Cahoon also serves as the girls head coach for the Team and Next Level Lacrosse programs. As a player at Elmira College, Amanda started as a freshman and was an Empire 8 All Conference Honorable Mention.

Sleepover (multi-week or one-week)

Over three quarters of our enrollment is comprised of sleepover students. All meals, lodging, formal lacrosse instruction and leisure time activities are provided for our campers.  In order to get the most out of our program we strongly that each student 9-18 years old enrolls for a minimum of two weeks and most beneficially a 3 or more week period.

Day Student (multi-week or one-week)
This program will be offered to players who live or will be staying off-campus and within commuting distance to Stonehill College. We recommend multi-week sessions but will also accept commuters as one-week campers. Day students will report Sunday, 2:00pm for an initial evaluation game. Group lessons will be taught Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 4:45pm. Day campers will be provided with lunch at our school dining room.

Facilities

Offense Defense NIKE Lacrosse Camp’s facilities include separate boys and girls fields conveniently located on Stonehill College’s Campus, just around the corner from the dorms.  Campers are able to walk to the fields with each other and their instructors.

We are confident in the results obtainable with Offense Defense NIKE Lacrosse Camp’s teaching method because it is founded on the most up-to-date attitudes, teaching methods and aids being used by professional lacrosse educators.

Extra Activities:

Offense Defense/ NIKE Lacrosse Camp is one of the only camps that offer nightly OFF-Campus Activities.  Our activities are pre-organized and include events such as:  MLS Soccer Games, Boston Red Sox Baseball Games, Laser Tag, Bowling, Hard Rock Café, Charlie Horse, Funway Café, 6 Flags (weekend), Water Country (weekend), Whale Watch (weekend), and much much more!

Activities are not mandatory, and campers either choose to attend a few activities during the week, all activities, or no activities.  Either way, for those campers who stay back:  There will be plenty to do such as our ping pong room, watching movies, board games, card games, volleyball, and more.  Counselors stay back to keep the appropriate ratios on the trip and back at the dorms!  For more information click on our “Non-Sport Hours Link”

Extra Supervision:

Offense Defense/ NIKE Lacrosse Camp has Double the Supervision!  This is because they hire 2 separate staff: coaching staff and counselor staff.  This ensures that coaches are not overworked and can adequately teach and coach lacrosse every day.  It also ensures that your children are being well supervised during all non-sport hours.  Also the owners/directors reside in the dorms with campers!  For more information click on our “Supervision Link.”
