Beginner to Tournament (Players 8-18)
Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested weekly and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing tennis in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.
Program for Tournament Players (8-18 years old)
or High School Program
(13-18 years old)
In addition to the general camp
sessions, we are offering a tournament training component for
the middle two weeks and a high school session during the first
and last weeks. The tournament training program is geared towards
tournament level and ranked players looking to improve their
tournament results, learn winning strategies and work on mental
toughness. The high school session is provided for players
currently on their high school team and wanting to move up the
ladder or those planning on making the high school team.
General sessions are run throughout the entire 4 weeks of camp along
side the programs listed above.
Our TEACHING METHOD effectively covers every aspect of the game:

But they must be – first and foremost – individuals who care about, and relate to, other people. Secondly, they are highly qualified, technical teachers of tennis. THE NIKE FACTOR:
Even though ODTC has been existing for over 30 years, and has an 80% camper return rate, we still felt that we could do better! We have accomplished this by joining forces with NIKE TENNIS CAMPS (US SPORTS CAMPS).
NIKE is not just any other brand… NIKE is a whole way of thinking. NIKE Tennis Camps set the bar high when it comes to all aspects of tennis camp: from teaching methods & hiring staff to the registration process and check in procedures. Being a part of NIKE Tennis Camps gives us the opportunity to meet with other Tennis Camp Directors and bring together innovative ideas on how to make our camp #1!
ODTC: An Intensive Educational Tennis Camp:
We recognized that tennis requires self-discipline and a great deal of well-grooved technique for full enjoyment. Tennis can become a way of life for the person who is willing to subject himself to this demand for knowledge and discipline. But tennis should be fun and rewarding. It can be learned in a short period of time if the instruction is conducted properly and the student pursues the sport with enthusiasm. Therefore, our tennis program is designed and operated as an
intensive educational tennis camp.
More than Tennis/ A well-rounded Sports
Camp Experience:
In addition to the amazing tennis experience, we offer our campers a
great opportunity to escape the courts and have some fun in the
evenings. Each week we offer a variety of off-court activities (both on
and off campus, some of which may incur an additional fee for ticket
purchases) which campers can choose from prior to camp. Off court
activities include, but are not limited to: World Team Tennis matches,
trips to Boston, Six Flags, Water Country, lazer tag...and much more!
To see a full list of Activities please visit the "NonSports
Hours/ Field Trips" link.
Sleepover (multi-week or one-week)
Over three quarters of our enrollment is comprised of sleepover students. All meals, lodging, formal tennis instruction and leisure time activities are provided for our campers.
The Sleepover program runs from Sunday to Friday.
We strongly suggest to get the most out of our program that each student 9-18 years old enrolls for a minimum of two weeks and most beneficially a 3 or more week period.
We offer a weekend overlap.
Day and Extended
Day Student (multi-week or one-week)
This program will be offered to players who live or will be staying off-campus and within commuting distance to Stonehill College. We recommend multi-week sessions but will also accept commuters as one-week campers. Day students will report Sunday, 2:00pm for testing. Group lessons will be taught Monday through Thursday, followed by a tournament Friday morning. Day campers will be provided with lunch at our school dining room.
Day Campers are picked up at 5pm, Extended Day Campers are picked up
around 9pm (or after the Evening Activity). See the Dates and
Pricing Page for a full description.
Facilities: Offense Defense Tennis Camp’s tennis facilities include 20 outdoor courts, plus
6 indoor courts at an indoor tennis center just a few miles from campus. Unlimited tennis balls for instruction, lecture rooms, tennis movies, and other innovative teaching devices will be available to all campers.
What if it RAINS? In case
of rain, a small portion of the campers will rotate to the indoor
facility. Other campers will go to strategy sessions, mental
toughness exercises and conditioning.
We are confident in the results obtainable with Offense Defense Tennis Camp’s teaching method because it is founded on the most up-to-date attitudes, teaching methods and aids being used by professional tennis educators.
